Thank you to all those who reassured me that my friends are people of taste and sophistication. My heart beats so that I can hardly speak.... (Though I hasten to reassure you that I can tell the difference between right and wrong even without the aid of a telescope and a clear night. Mostly. I think.)

I didn't reply to the other posts, but have never found either The Office or The Thick of It very funny either. Too much comedy seems to be about how funny it is to bully or sneer at people.
