The fact that the current US administration threatened martial law if Congress didn't vote for the bailout, or the fact that this seems to have passed practically unnoticed. Is this something that happens so often that there's no need to take any notice? Scared now.

The Dow Jones failed to recover as hoped, and there are more prophets of doom around than those celebrating the bailout. Someone from Forbes was arguing that $700 million is a drop in the ocean, and that the entire US mortgage market should be regarded as toxic - $14 trillion.
